BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's track and field team earned the 106-75 victory over Lafayette on Saturday at Rauch Fieldhouse, in the Rivalry presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. Ten athletes earned PRs across all event groups.
Â
"I'm very, very proud of what we've done," said head coach Khayla Atte. "We have a lot of really strong first-years, they really showed up. We also did something we haven't done before - every coach put their own entries and I agreed. I trust my gut, I believe in the athletes and I believe in my coaches the same way.
Â
"One thing I said to the team in a meeting the other day was 'How many of you have come into a practice or meet feeling great and then performed horribly? How many of you have come into a meet feeling bad and then surprised yourself with how great you did?' The constant is your performance - that you had to compete. The feelings are always going to change, so you have to be focused on the competition."
Â
