
Three Mountain Hawks Selected to Compete at NCAA East First Round

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three members of the Lehigh track and field programs have qualified for the NCAA East First Round meet, set for May 28-31 in Jacksonville, Fla. Junior Abby Klebe will compete in the 800 meters on the women's side while senior Greg Stagliano and first-year Harry Keen will both compete in the men's javelin.

Klebe will make her first career NCAA First Round appearance. The Patriot League indoor and outdoor champion in the 800m, Klebe ranks 24th in the East with her time of 2:04.20 last weekend at the ECAC Championships once again lowering her school record.

Keen ranks 27th in the javelin with a mark of 66.05m set at the Virginia Challenge in April. He finished seventh at the Patriot League Championships in early May and took third last weekend at the Princeton Elite Invitational. Keen's mark of 66.05m ranks third in school history.

Stagliano heads to the first round meet for the second consecutive season. He finished 42nd last season with a mark of 56.96m. Stagliano ranks 41st in the East with a mark of 63.28m set last weekend at Princeton. The mark ranks fifth all-time at Lehigh. Stagliano also finished fourth in the javelin at the Patriot League Championships.

The men's javelin throwers will compete Wednesday, May 28 at 2:30 p.m., while Klebe will run in the women's 800m first round at 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 29. If Klebe advances to the quarterfinals, that event will take place Saturday, May 31 at 7:05 p.m.
