BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Patriot League announced the men's and women's 2026 Patriot League Track and Field All-Academic Teams on Wednesday afternoon. Corinn Brewer and Laura Reigle earned two of the 18 nods for the women, while Andrew Clark, Dan Malatesta, and Joseph Nowakowski were awarded the honor on the men's side.
This is Brewer's first All-Academic award. She has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll twice, and the senior has had a perfect 4.0 GPA in all five of her semesters at Lehigh as an architecture major. At the Patriot League Championships, Brewer won the Pentathlon, scoring a personal best 3543 points. The senior earned personal best marks in the shot put (10.21m) and 800 (2:15.40). She won the 800 meter run, jumping from fourth to first to get herself the gold.Â
Reigle's addition to the team is her fifth Academic All-Patriot League award across both indoor and outdoor track and field. The senior has also been named to the Patriot League's Academic Honor Roll three times. The design major has been named to the Dean's List six times, which includes 4.0 GPAs in the fall semesters of 2022 and 2024. Reigle took gold in the pole vault at the Patriot League Championships. This was her second indoor title in the event, bookending her career after winning as a first-year. She tied the meet record and her own school record with a 4.10 meter vault.Â
Clark's nod is the first of his career. The economics major has been named to the league's Academic Honor Roll twice, and to the Dean's list in all five of his completed semesters. Clark earned an eighth place finish in the heptathlon at the championships, scoring 4568 points in the event. He moved up into scoring position in the final event, where he placed fourth with a 2:49.15 1000 meter run. The junior was also carried by a personal best 7.29-second run in the 60 meter dash and a season's best 1.69 meter high jump.Â
Malatesta makes the All-Academic team for the first time in his career. The biology major is no stranger to academic awards, as he has made the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll seven times across cross country and track, matching his seven Dean's List appearances. Malatesta placed eighth in the mile at the championships, running 4:12.39 to conclude his indoor college career. He also moved up to fourth on Lehigh's all-time indoor performance list in the preliminary rounds, running a personal best 4:07.64.
Nowakowski follows up his indoor Academic All-Patriot League award in 2025 with another in 2026. On the back of four 4.0 GPA semesters, the senior has made the Dean's List six times and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll three times. Nowakowski placed sixth in the shot put (16.57m) and 17th in the weight throw (15.15m) at the Patriot League Championships.Â
