Mountain Hawks Led by Six Distance PRs In Two-Meet Weekend

NEW YORK/BOSTON - The Lehigh men's track and field team split this weekend's competition between the Scarlet Knight Open in New York and the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational in Boston. Throws along with long jump and triple jump shipped up to Boston while the rest of the team competed at the Armory.
 
JUMPS:
At the Armory, junior Skyler Mott won the high jump with 2.10m, matching his PR and third place all-time mark set last weekend. 
 
MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE:
The distance squad earned six PRs with sophomore Alex Heidemann claiming two. In the 800m, Heidemann crossed the finish line at 1:54.00 while sophomore Dan Malatesta clocked in at 1:57.83. Heidemann wrote his name in the record book with an eighth all-time finish in the 1000m with 2:27.29. Two 3000m PRs were earned by sophomores Thomas Arnold and Max Leffler with 8:45.98 and 8:52.29, respectively. First-year Noah Zahn rounded out distance PRs with a 15:10.94 finish in the 5000m.
 
SPRINTS/HURDLES:
First-years David Sedrak and Aidan DiBuono PRed in the 200 with 22.66 and 23.78, respectively. In the 60m hurdles, junior Gideon Coprivnicar picked up a PR of 8.64.
 
THROWS:
With a challenging venue in Boston, junior Alex Clevenger was Lehigh's top finisher in the shot put with a 15.21m throw. 
 
The Mountain Hawks head back to Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, N.Y. for the Big Apple Invitational next weekend.
