Lehigh Trio Garners Academic All-District Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three members of the Lehigh track and field program were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams announced Tuesday. The Mountain Hawks are represented by juniors Laura Reigle and Joe Nowakowski and recent graduate Jonathan Bennett.
 
All three Mountain Hawks were Academic All-Patriot League honorees for the 2025 indoor season, with Reigle and Bennett adding outdoor Academic All-Patriot League Honors.
 
Reigle earns CSC Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season. She holds a 3.85 cumulative GPA, majoring in design. This season Reigle was the Patriot League silver medalist in the indoor pole vault and finished fourth at the outdoor championship.
 
Nowakowski is a philosophy major with a 3.91 GPA. His track season was highlighted by a third place finish in the shot put at the Patriot League Indoor Championships in March. Nowakowski also registered a top 10 finish in the shot put at the outdoor league championship meet.
 
Bennett graduated in May with a 3.80 GPA as an English major. In May, Bennett ran a career-best 14.16 to earn a bronze medal in the 110m hurdles at the Patriot League Championships. He was also a finalist in the 60m hurdles during the indoor season.
 
The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances academically and athletically. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better and be a starter or key reserve. For cross country and track and field, certain regional and/or national rankings must be met to garner consideration.
