
Lehigh Women Host Navy Saturday to Open Patriot League Play

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will open Patriot League play on Saturday with a 10 a.m. matchup at home against Navy inside Lewis Tennis Center.
The Mountain Hawks (4-5, 0-0) are coming off a 5-2 victory over Villanova at home on Wednesday. Senior Jamie Campisi clinched the match with her 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles over Paulina Bajet. Campisi has now clinched the win over Villanova in three of the last four meetings with the Wildcats.
Christina Auyeung leads Lehigh with a 6-3 record in singles play this season and is on a two-match win streak. She has played all her matches at the No. 1 flight. Sibel Can and Campisi each own records of 5-4 in singles play this season. The freshman pairing of Can and Leigh Friedman lead the team with a record of 4-5 in doubles play this season.
Navy (12-9, 0-1) returns to action after last competing in a doubleheader on March 14 in Florida. The Mids split the doubleheader with a 7-0 loss to Syracuse, followed by a 5-2 win against Northern Iowa. Navy has already played a Patriot League match this season with a home dual against Boston University on February 3 in a rematch of last season's Patriot League Championship match. The Terriers left Annapolis, Md. with a 4-3 victory.
Meghan O'Malley paces Navy with an 8-1 record on the season while playing primarily at the fifth and sixth singles spots. O'Malley is currently riding a six-match win streak. Ansofi Wreder boasts an 8-4 record on the season and Josie Rogers has also reached eight wins as she sports a record of 8-7.
The Navy pairing of Amanda Keller and Kaylah Hodge own a record of 7-1 in doubles competition. Claudia Mackenzie and Emily Louie-Meadors sport a doubles record of 8-3.
Lehigh was picked to finish fourth in the Patriot League Preseason Poll after finishing with a 4-4 record in league play last season to finish fifth in the regular season standings. Navy was picked second in the league's preseason poll after finishing 4-2 in league play and placing third in the final standings last season.
