HISTORY
The Lewis Indoor Tennis Center is one of the few indoor tennis facilities in the Lehigh Valley. Hosting four indoor courts, this building also offers convenient parking, indoor locker rooms, a player’s lounge, and a trainer’s area. Paired with seventeen outdoor courts, named the Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts, this 30,000 square foot complex is home to the Lehigh University Men’s and Women’s tennis programs.
Offering a scenic background on the picturesque Goodman Campus, this tennis complex hosts various USTA sponsored events and numerous camps and clinics throughout the year. This building does offer membership opportunities for Lehigh University affiliated member play and the outdoor courts are open to the public at certain times of the day/season.
An anonymous donor made possible the construction of the four indoor tennis courts for recreational use as well as team practice, and is named for former Lehigh President W. Deming Lewis.
The newly renovated outdoor courts were dedicated on October 3, 2015 in honor of donor Ronald Ulrich '67. Mr. Ulrich's commitment allowed for the total reconstruction of the courts, plus a new viewing pavilion and walkway, putting the facility among the best in the Northeast.

The indoor and outdoor courts host a variety of events year-round including:
- Lehigh men's and women's tennis matches
- Open Membership Play*
- Various USTA events
- Lehigh camps and clinics
*Membership restricted to Lehigh faculty, staff and students
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
Parking is available outside the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center and the Ulrich Varsity Courts on Goodman Drive South, between the outdoor courts and the baseball field.
