Seeds, broadcast times set for NCAA Championships

Bethlehem, PA – Seedings for the 75th NCAA wrestling championships were announced Monday evening and the Mountain Hawks enter the tournament with six of seven wrestlers seeded including a pair of number one seeds, Troy Letters at 165 and Jon Trenge at 197. Cory Cooperman is the next highest Lehigh seed, coming in fourth at 141. Matt Ciasulli, Derek Zinck and Travis Frick all come in seeded, while Matt Anderson enters as the only non-seeded Lehigh grappler.

Also Monday, Television, radio, and Internet broadcast information was been finalized. Competition begins Thursday morning, and runs through Saturday evening. For fans unable to make the trek to St. Louis, lehighsports.com will provide live audio coverage from the championships all three days, including the live play-by-play call of the national finals on Saturday. The NCAA will also produce televised coverage of the wrestling championships beginning with the quarterfinal round.

Lehigh broadcaster Steve Lomangino will co-host a recap show after the first two days of competition, beginning at approximately 10:30 pm each night. The show will feature highlights of all the day’s action, in addition to exclusive interviews. The recap shows will be archived on lehighsports.com (as part of the Yahoo! Sports College Broadcast package) for enjoyment at any time.

On Saturday, Lehigh will broadcast the finals live on WLVR-FM in the Lehigh Valley and on lehighsports.com beginning at 4:50 pm ET.

Television coverage of the quarterfinal round will air on ESPNU (DirecTV channel 609). The semifinals on Friday evening will be produced by the NCAA in conjunction with ESPN Regional Television for syndicated distribution (check local listings). The national finals will air live on ESPN at 5:00 pm on Saturday evening.

The 75th NCAA Division I wrestling championships will get underway on Thursday morning from Savvis Center in St. Louis.
