Why Lehigh?: “It seemed like the best school all around, athletically and academically. It’s a school that could offer me great potential and I knew I’d be surrounded by great people.” Anderson on Strobel: “He’s a great coach. I never thought I could just sit with someone and have it impact me so much, just by talking. He knows so much and teaches things not just about wrestling but about life.”

 

In 2003-04: Emerged as the starter when Tommy Rohn went down with an injury, and did well, posting a 16-14 record as a starter and placing fourth at EIWAs … defeated No. 8 Matt Storniolo of Penn State in dual meet, perhaps his best win on the season …fourth place finish at EIWA earned him a wild-card entry to NCAAs where he gained valuable experience … was 2-2 at Junior Worlds, including a 10-0 tech fall while wrestling at 163

 

In 2002-03: 5-4 in deferred freshman year.

 

In Secondary School: Career record of 127-5, going 103-2 his last three seasons with the only losses in NJ state finals … as a sophomore he placed first at 103, as a junior was second at 119 and during his senior campaign placed second at 130 behind a four-time state place winner.

 

Personal: Son of parents James Anderson and Linda Sikel…has two sisters, Kristin (21) and Amanda (12)…has one brother, Inan (7)…played soccer for South Plainfield.
