BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The fall season for Lehigh men's tennis kicks off weekend, with the Mountain Hawks will compete in five separate competitions as preparation for the 2025 season this upcoming spring semester.
"We are really excited about the fall schedule this year," said Howard Talmud '77 head coach Craig Schwartz. "I believe we have a good mix of tournaments that will let each player have various opportunities. Excited about opening weekend at Army."
The fall campaign begins in West Point, New York for the Army Invite on Friday, September 13. The Mountain Hawks will compete against the likes of Sacred Heart, Holy Cross, Hofstra, Marist, Stonehill, Fairfield and the hosting Black Knights from Friday to Sunday. Later this month, the Mountain Hawks will welcome Lafayette, Rider and Villanova to campus for the Lehigh Invite on September 28-29.
Lehigh will then travel south to Philadelphia for the Saint Joseph's Invite on October 4-6, their final invitational before organized tournament play. ITA Regionals will be hosted at the University of Pennsylvania this year from October 17-21, where singles and doubles pairings will look to qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships.
Lehigh's final scheduled competition for the fall will be the ITA Conference Masters Event, also hosted by Army West Point on October 25-27. One doubles pairing and two singles players from Lehigh will compete against each school in the Patriot League for a chance to play at the ITA Conference Masters Championships in San Diego from November 7-10.
Lehigh returns six players and welcomes the highest-rated recruiting class in program history ahead of the 2024-25 season. The Mountain Hawks won 11 matches a season ago and are primed for another exciting season in Bethlehem.
