Mountain Hawks Defeat Bucknell 4-3 On Senior Day

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's tennis celebrated Senior Day on Saturday morning from the Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts against the Bucknell Bison. The Mountain Hawks celebrated seniors Wyeth Anzilotti, Sean Jaeger, and Jackson Morash before defeating the defending Patriot League champions 4-3.

The doubles point between Lehigh (13-8, 6-1 PL) and Bucknell (11-11, 2-3 PL) came down to the wire. The Bison got on the board first with a 6-3 win on court one before Rafael Gracie and Kosei Ogata earned a 6-2 win on court three. Anzilotti and Henry Stoller battled to a tiebreak on court two, winning 7-6 (7-4) to secure the doubles point for the Mountain Hawks.

Bucknell's Amar Tahirovic secured a point with a two-set victory on court one over Jaeger. Lehigh responded with a 7-5, 6-2 victory from Aleksandar Daskalovic at number three before Alex Van Lumich defeated Adamantios Stavrakas in two sets on court two to take a 3-1 lead in the match. Ogata's 7-5, 6-1 victory on court four secured the dual meet victory for the Mountain Hawks.

Following the clinch, Bucknell earned two points courtesy of singles wins on courts five and six.

The Mountain Hawks now await their seeding and opponent in next weekend's Patriot League Championship. The entirety of the tournament will be held on Lehigh's campus.
