Mountain Hawks Kick Off Fall Campaign at Lehigh Invite

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's tennis kicked off its fall campaign at home this past weekend at the Lehigh Invite from the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks welcomed Lafayette, Temple, and Villanova and competed against each school in singles and doubles competition.
The event began on Saturday for Lehigh in singles competition against Lafayette, which the Leopards won by a score of 5-3. The Mountain Hawks found wins from Benedict Horn-Bourque at number two (8-3), Henry Stoller at number three (8-6), and Patrick Mihai at number four (8-2). Lehigh then faced Temple in their first doubles match and fell 3-1. The pair of Nate Raney and Rafael Gracie provided Lehigh's point in the doubles loss to Temple.
The final competition on Saturday for Lehigh was a singles match against Villanova. The Mountain Hawks came away with a 6-2 victory thanks to wins from Horn-Bourque (8-5), Ofer Hacohen (8-2), Julian Winter (8-2), Raney (8-3), Victor Imanishi (8-5), and Gracie (8-5).
Sunday kicked off with a doubles sweep of Lafayette for the Mountain Hawks. Mihai/Stoller, Raney/Gracie, Hacohen/Winter, and Imanishi/Horn-Bourque each won on their doubles court. The Mountain Hawks then fell 5-3 to Temple in singles play, with Lehigh's wins coming from Hacohen (8-6), Imanishi (8-6), and Shiv Sastry (8-6). The Mountain Hawks concluded the weekend against Villanova in doubles play, winning 3-1 thanks to victories from Mihai/Stoller, Raney/Gracie, and Hacohen/Winter.
The Mountain Hawks return to court on Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11 at the Navy Invite in Annapolis, Maryland.
