Daskalovic, Jaeger, And Van Lumich Earn Patriot League Postseason Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its 2026 Men's Tennis All-League teams and Postseason Awards on Friday afternoon. First-year Aleksandar Daskalovic won Patriot League Rookie of the Year, junior Alex Van Lumich earned a spot on the First Team All-Patriot League, and fifth-year Sean Jaeger was named to the Second Team All-Patriot League.
Daskalovic becomes Lehigh's third-ever Rookie of the Year award winner and third in the past five seasons (Marc Blekhman 2022, Jose Murariu 2025). In his first season in the brown and white, Daskalovic went 7-6 in singles play, including 3-0 against Patriot League competition. In the postseason, Daskalovic went 2-1 with wins in Lehigh's quarterfinal and semifinal round victories.
After transferring from Purdue Northwest, Van Lumich had an outstanding first season at Lehigh. The Zaragoza, Spain native posted an 18-2 overall singles record, including 5-1 in league play and 13-1 at number two. Van Lumich also went 14-7 in doubles play, including a 13-6 mark on court one and a 4-2 record against Patriot League competition.
Jaeger is making his second career appearance on an all-league team after earning second team honors in 2025. The local product from Allentown, Pennsylvania went 6-10 in singles and 13-6 in doubles. Jaeger went 5-10 on court one in singles and played all his doubles matches on court one.
The Mountain Hawks posted a 15-9 overall record and 6-1 mark in league play, which earned them the number one seed in the Patriot League standings for the first time in program history. Lehigh's 15 wins are the most the team has had since 2016 and the team's appearance in the Patriot League Championship match was its first since 2013.
