Song's Career-Low 66 Leads Lehigh On Day Two Of Las Vegas Regional

LAS VEGAS – Day two at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional was highlighted by a three-hour weather delay for lightning. The Mountain Hawks were one over par as a team through nine holes Tuesday at Bear's Best Las Vegas. Coming out of the weather delay, Lehigh was four over as a team on the back nine. The Mountain Hawks shot 293 Tuesday, shaving one stroke off their day one score and currently sit in 14th place at 587.

Senior Daniel Song led the way for the Mountain Hawks Tuesday, carding a collegiate-low round of six under par 66. The Patriot League Player of the Year carded seven birdies, 10 pars and a bogey and moved into a tie for 31st place at five under par 139 (73-66). Song is eight under par on par 5s thus far in the tournament.

Behind Song, senior David Hurly shot even par 72, including a two under par 34 on the front nine. Hurly totaled four birdies with three on the front side, and is tied for 66th place at 148 (76-72).

Sophomore Aidan Oehrle overcame a triple bogey on the first hole to play the next 17 holes in one under par. Oehrle carded four birdies in his second round 74 and is tied for 70th place at 150 (76-74).

Lehigh's low player on Monday, senior Sam Barton, shot 81 and is also tied for 70th with Oehrle at 150 (69-81). Barton is tied for tops in the field with 26 pars over his first 36 holes of play. He is also two under par on the par 3s.

Head coach Henry D'Alberto inserted first-year Jake Roth into the lineup on Tuesday and Roth shot 82. Roth did card three birdies in his round.

Stanford jumped over Pac-12 rival Arizona State to take the team lead with the Cardinal standing at 42 under par 534 (268-266). The Sun Devils are four strokes behind, while Virginia is third nine shots off the lead.

Matthew Anderson of San Francisco and Ethan Ng of Stanford are tied for the individual lead at 14 under par 130. They lead two other players by one stroke heading into the final round.

Play was halted Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. PT and resumed nearly three hours later at 3 p.m. PT.

The NCAA Las Vegas Regional concludes Wednesday at Bear's Best Las Vegas. Lehigh will once again play with Kansas City and the individuals, with tee times beginning at 9:20 a.m. PT.
