Balanced Attack Has Lehigh Second After Round One of Lafayette's Invitational

EASTON, Pa. – With four players shooting 74 or better Sunday, Lehigh sits in second place out of 15 teams following round one of Lafayette's ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational at Northampton Country Club.

The Mountain Hawks shot four over par 292 Sunday and sit three strokes behind first place Towson entering Monday's final round.

First-year Ryan Cronin shot even par 72 and is tied for 12th place. Cronin made five birdies in his opening round.

Junior Matthew Quinn and senior Aiden LeBlanc both shot one over par 73 and are tied for 18th place. Quinn carded two birdies Sunday, while LeBlanc made four birdies plus an eagle.

At two over par 74, senior Jake Roth is tied for 24th place. Roth's opening round included two birdies.

Lehigh's fifth scoring player, senior Will Caronchi, shot 80 and is tied for 74th place. Caronchi carded one birdie in his first round.

The Mountain Hawks have two players competing as individuals. Sophomore Noah Zyung shot 78 and is tied for 59th place. First-year Drew Golden is tied for 68th after shooting 79. Zyung made four birdies Sunday, while Golden carded two.
