
Lehigh Men Win Third Straight with Victory Over Stevens Tech

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Mountain Hawks extended their win streak to three-straight following a 5-2 victory over Stevens Institute of Technology Saturday inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Lehigh improves to 3-1 on the season, while the Ducks open the season with a loss.
The Mountain Hawks began the day by sweeping the doubles matches for the first time this season. LU's No. 1 pairing, Jack Martin-Dyer and Jacob Edelchik, and No. 2 pairing, Jack Petersen and Bryant Born, both improve to 3-1 on the season. Christopher Auteri and Dylan Karchere-Sun also scored a win in their first match together this season.
Harry Wang posted Lehigh's first singles win of the day as he won in straight sets as he pulls even at 2-2 on the season.
Petersen snapped a three-match skid with his first win of the season as he won in straight sets at the No. 1 spot.
After falling in the first set, Edelchik won the final two sets, 6-1, 6-1, to clinch the match for Lehigh at the second spot. The freshman is now 2-0 on the season.
George Cooper also notched his first win of the season with a three-set victory at the fifth spot. Sam Bencheghib had a positive impact in his season debut as he won in straight sets.
Lehigh will return to action Saturday, February 24 in a home match at 2 p.m. against Mount St. Mary's.
