Van Lumich Ranked In Final ITA Regional Singles Rankings

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final regional singles rankings last week. Junior Alex Van Lumich finished the season ranked 18th in the Division I Northeast Regional rankings.

A first team All-Patriot League selection, Van Lumich had an outstanding first season at Lehigh. The Zaragoza, Spain native and Purdue Northwest transfer posted an 18-2 overall singles record, including 5-1 in league play and 13-1 at number two. Van Lumich also went 14-7 in doubles play, including a 13-6 mark on court one and a 4-2 record against Patriot League competition.

The Mountain Hawks posted a 15-9 overall record and 6-1 mark in league play, which earned them the number one seed in the Patriot League standings for the first time in program history. Lehigh's 15 wins are the most the team has had since 2016 and the team's appearance in the Patriot League Championship match was its first since 2013.
