The Big Easy tough on Lehigh

New Orleans, LA – After its first two matches of the spring trip never happened due to inclement weather and a scheduling error, Lehigh finally took to the court on Wednesday and Thursday against three tough opponents. The Mountain Hawks lost all three contests dropping a 7-0 decision to New Orleans, losing 5-2 to Southeastern Louisiana, and falling to Samford 6-1. Lehigh failed to win a set against New Orleans, and won just one singles match against Samford, but battled hard against Southeastern Louisiana. Craig Ditman was the lone winner against Samford defeating Travis Johnson at number four singles by an 8-6 score. Ryan Cann and Ty Esler both notched singles wins against Southeastern Louisiana at number one and number two respectively. Cann battled for three sets to defeat Eric Subirats 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. Esler defeated Thomas Comba in straight sets 6-4, 6-0. Lehigh returns to action on March 18th when it travels to Easton to take on Lafayette at 2:30 in its second Patriot League match of the season.
