Lehigh finishes action at GEICO Intercollegiate

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Mountain Hawks finished up action at the season opening GEICO Intercollegiate on Saturday as Lehigh placed seventh out of 14 schools with a three-round score of 927 (312, 303, 312). Southern Illinois took home the team crown after shooting a 904, which included rounds of 301, 293, and 310. The Salukis were followed by Bryant (911), Seton Hall (912), Appalachian State (916), Yale (917), Ohio Wesleyan (925), and Lehigh. Will Robinson finished in a tie for 16th place after shooting a 229 (78, 76, 75) to lead the Brown and White individually.
Other Lehigh finishers included Shane Gilroy (80, 75, 79) and Tim Rosenhouse (74, 75, 85) with identical scores of 234 which tied them for 33rd place, Steve Suarez who tied for 39th after scores of 80, 77, and 78 (235) and Duncan Zeiders, who shot a 240 (82, 78, 80) and placed 56th.
Tom Hayes from the Savannah College of Art and Design placed first overall with rounds of 72, 74, and 73 (219), while Southern Illinois’s Jordan Cox finished second with an overall score of 223 (74, 75, 74).
Lehigh will return to action on April 4 when the Brown and White competes in the Lafayette Invitational in Easton.
