Why Lehigh: “I wanted to go to school at a place where I knew I would be able to excel in golf as well as the classroom. I knew with the golf facilities available and the academic opportunities, that Lehigh was the only place for me.”
On the student-athlete experience: “I cannot describe what it means to be a part of something as special as being a student-athlete at Lehigh. It’s an opportunity to pursue any goals you have in life. I’m able to play the sport that I love and compete at the highest level. The best part about it is the fact that I’m able to play golf while getting one of the best educations in the country. I could not be more proud to be a part of Lehigh.”
On Coach D’Alberto: “If you’re looking for a coach who knows how to play golf, he’s the man. I’m only an incoming freshman but from what I’ve heard, he has a pretty impressive playing resume.”
As a freshman … scored a 150 (76, 74) in his collegiate debut at the Bucknell Invitational, placing 21st … tied for 33rd at the Colgate Invitational with a score of 162 (83, 79) … shot a 158 (80, 78) at the Kelly Gutshall Invitational … tied for 33rd place at GEICO Intercollegiate with a score of 234 (74, 75, 85).
In secondary school …played in six AJGA Tournaments … qualified for the Long Island Open and New York State High School Championship as a senior … finished fourth at the CJGA World Jr. Challenge … six-year starter on varsity golf team … low tournament round – 67 … six-time New York State scholar athlete … Academic All-County as a senior.
Personal: son of Michael and Maureen … has one sister, Michelle … member of Jazz and Marching Bands … First Tee Organization member … enjoys playing and listening to music and playing sports.
