Why Lehigh? “Great coach, awesome group of guys on the team, and I wanted to study at a prestigious university with a top business program. I also wanted the chance to win a Patriot League title and go to NCAA’s.”
Bogard on Coach Hendrix: “He’s very knowledgeable about the sport and is really encouraging. He really wants to win.”
As a junior: Put together a strong season with a 13-3 overall singles record and 7-3 mark in doubles play…went 5-3 in Patriot League singles action, playing primarily at the sixth flight…went 2-0 in Patriot League doubles action in the third flight…earned a singles win over Navy in the Patriot League Semifinals and also picked up a doubles victory in the Patriot League Quarterfinals…earned Academic All-Patriot League distinction.
As a sophomore: regular starter in both singles and doubles… amassed 13-8 singles record went 10-7 at No. 5 singles including 4-2 Patriot League mark… clinched four victories with singles wins (Niagara, Stony Brook, Fairleigh Dickinson, UConn)… went 9-12 overall in doubles… played primarily at No. 2 flight with Mitchell Petersen.
As a freshman: Posted 7-4 singles record, including 7-3 mark at No. 6 singles… went 1-1 against Patriot League opponents with a win over Lafayette and a loss against Army… went 2-3 at No. 3 doubles… delivered match-clinching points against Monmouth, Fairleigh Dickinson and Delaware… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
In high school: Finished third in the state tournament… received Spanish award given to best non-native speaker.
