Lehigh Falls To Kennesaw State In Spring Break Opener

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Lehigh men's tennis kicked off its spring break trip to North Carolina on Tuesday morning against the Kennesaw State Owls. The Mountain Hawks won the opening doubles point but fell by a score of 4-1.
Lehigh (6-5) opened doubles play against Kennesaw State (8-3) with a 6-2 win at number one from Sean Jaeger and Alex Van Lumich. The Mountain Hawks then earned a 7-5 decision from Henry Stoller and Wyeth Anzilotti at number two to secure the opening doubles point. Kosei Ogata and Rafael Gracie's match at number three was left unfinished.
The Owls struck first in singles competition, earning a two-set win at number six over Stoller. Kennesaw State's Anthony Weingarten then picked up a two-set victory at number three over Benedict Horn-Bourque before Ben Hudson's two-set win at number one put the Owls one win away from the clinch. A 7-5, 6-4 win for KSU's Nathan Walters at number five clinched the dual meet victory for the Owls. Singles matches at numbers two and four were left unfinished.
The Mountain Hawks will face off against host UNC Wilmington on Wednesday, March 11 at 2 p.m.
