Lehigh Valley native Rob Dvoracek is in his second season on the Lehigh coaching staff. Dvoracek came to Lehigh in July 2019 and coaches the Mountain Hawks’ defensive ends and outside linebackers.
An Allentown native and two-way standout at Parkland High School, Dvoracek cames to Lehigh from Baylor University, where he spent two seasons as a defensive quality control coach.

In his first season at Lehigh, Dvoracek assisted a defense that showed marked improvement over previous seasons. The Mountain Hawks allowed 14 fewer points and 100 fewer yards than they did in 2018. Erik Slater had a breakout season playing off the edge, with 34 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks. Davis Maxie added four tackles for loss and half a sack. Freshman defensive end Mikhari Sibblis burst onto the scene with six tackles for loss and four sacks and was recognized as a HERO Sports Freshman All-American. Lehigh’s defense had 14 more sacks in 2019 than it did the year prior.

Dvoracek went with coach Matt Rhule to Baylor after five years as a member of the football program at Temple. He was a two-year letter winner as a linebacker (2012 and 2013) before transitioning into a coaching role following a career-ending injury. Dvoracek served as a student assistant for the Owls while earning his bachelor’s degree in adult and organizational development in 2016 and adding a master’s degree in educational leadership the following year.

During his playing career at Temple, Dvoracek was a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree.

Dvoracek was a standout fullback and linebacker at Parkland, earning All-State recognition on both sides of the ball as a senior in 2011. He was named Lehigh Valley Conference MVP in his senior season, among numerous conference and area honors.
