
No. 4 Lehigh Runs Past Holy Cross For 10th Straight Win

Junior Luke Yoder ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark on the season, while sophomore quarterback Hayden Johnson threw three touchdown passes, two to senior Geoffrey Jamiel and one to junior Mason Humphrey.

Defensively, Lehigh allowed just 215 total yards, including just 20 on the ground. The Mountain Hawks also recorded four sacks, including 1.5 from senior Tyler Ochojski.
Lehigh moves to 10-0 on the season, its best start since the 2001 team started 11-0, and 5-0 in Patriot League play. Holy Cross falls to 1-9 overall and 1-4 in league play.
After Lehigh's defense opened the game with a three-and-out, the Mountain Hawks' offense needed just six plays to take the lead. A 63-yard drive was capped by a 29-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Humphrey to give Lehigh the early 7-0 lead.
Lehigh's next drive ended in an end zone interception, with Holy Cross staying within a touchdown until the middle of the second quarter.

The Crusaders got on the board with 5:14 left before halftime on a 32-yard Luis Palenzuela field goal. Lehigh answered on its next drive as Yoder ran for 11, eight and then five yards, before breaking off a 42-yard touchdown run to put Lehigh up 14-3, which was the score at halftime.
Sophomore Connor Poole opened the second-half scoring with a 32-yard field goal and on Lehigh's next possession, Johnson hit Jamiel for a 45-yard catch-and-run to extend the Mountain Hawks' lead to 24-3.

A 12-play Holy Cross drive ended in Lehigh territory with Ochojski and senior Matt Spatny sharing a fourth-down sack.
After the turnover on downs, sophomore Jaden Green gained 57 yards on three carries before giving way to Yoder, who rushed for 12 and then a one-yard touchdown to extend the Lehigh lead to 31-3 after three quarters.
An 11-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Jamiel early in the fourth quarter capped the scoring.
Johnson finished 8-of-18 for 174 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 59 yards including a 57-yard carry. Green gained 80 yards on nine carries. Jamiel caught three passes for 66-yards and two scores while Humphrey had 54 yards on three receptions.
Senior Jackson Dowd had seven tackles to lead the defense, plus a sack and two tackles for loss. Junior William Parton added six tackles.
Holy Cross' Dominic Campanile completed 19-of-34 for 195 yards. Running backs Jayden Clerveaux and Joseph Williams were held to just 29 combined rushing yards.
The Mountain Hawks will travel to Colgate next Saturday to face the Raiders at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with audio coverage on FOX Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM and LVFOXSports.com.
EXTRA POINTS… Lehigh's current 10-game winning streak is its longest since 2011… the Mountain Hawks reached the 10-win mark as a team for the first time since 2012… Yoder's 142 rushing yards give him 1,044 for the season as he joins Dom Bragalone '19 as the only Mountain Hawks with multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons… Lehigh defeated Holy Cross at Goodman Stadium for the first time since 2017 and now leads the all-time series 21-19-1… the Mountain Hawks have allowed just 16 points over their last four games, an average of four per game… Poole's third-quarter field goal was the first of his Lehigh career… Lehigh's eclipsed the 300-yard rushing mark for the third time this season.
