He also oversaw the development of Rashawn Allen, who rushed for 328 yards and averaged nearly five yards per carry as a freshman.

Prior to his stint at Marist, Cuevas spend two seasons on the staff at his alma mater, Susquehanna. He spent two seasons as Susquehanna’s video coordinator, working with the outside linebackers in his first season before taking over the offensive line in 2016. The 2016 season saw Cuevas coach first team All-Centennial Conference lineman Don Blair and Susquehanna’s Offensive Rookie of the Year, Josh Zeroth.

As a player, Cuevas was a three-year letter winner who started 30 games on the offensive line for Susquehanna and served as a team captain in 2013. He earned second team All-Centennial Conference honors in 2012 and was a 2013 USA Football Nation Preseason All-American. Cuevas won the Bob Pitello Offensive Lineman of the Year award and was a Team Stars and Stripes All-American in 2013.

Cuevas graduated from Susquehanna in 2014 with a degree in psychology. Following his graduation, he spent one season as an assistant coach at Salve Regina University, where he coached the running backs and tight ends and also served as the video coordinator.
