
Lehigh Faces Lafayette on Senior Night

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lehigh men's lacrosse will host Lafayette on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Ulrich Sports Complex in the regular season finale, which also marks Senior Night and the Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. With Patriot League Tournament seeding on the line, this matchup carries significant postseason implications.
The Mountain Hawks enter the contest at 5-8 overall and 4-3 in Patriot League play, currently holding the No. 3 seed. With its berth already secured, Lehigh has now qualified for the Patriot League Tournament for a league-best 15th consecutive season.Â
Lafayette, meanwhile, is 8-5 (4-3 PL) and tied for third in the standings. However, Lehigh and Colgate hold tiebreakers over the Leopards, who have yet to clinch a tournament spot.
Lehigh is looking to bounce back from a 12-7 loss to Boston University. The game was knotted at 2-2 after the first quarter, but the Terriers outscored the Mountain Hawks 10-5 the rest of the way.
Sophomore attackman Luke Winkler led the offense with a hat trick. Winkler has been a key presence recently, tallying multiple points in five straight games, including back-to-back hat tricks. He ranks third on the team with 23 points (18 goals, 5 assists).
First-year attackman Colin French (1G, 1A) and senior midfielder Dakota Eierman (1G, 1A) also turned in multi-point efforts. Eierman has posted four straight multi-point games and is second on the team with a career-high 29 points.
Junior attackman Andrew Kelly continues to lead Lehigh's offense, with 32 points on 19 goals and 13 assists.
In goal, Kasey Heath remains one of the Patriot League's top netminders. He ranks second in the league in saves per game (13.46) and fourth in save percentage (.568). His 13.46 saves per game also rank eighth nationally.
Lafayette is coming off a 13-8 loss to Virginia on April 19. Prior to that, the Leopards picked up a key 11-9 win over Boston University. Riley Sullivan leads the Leopards with 66 points, including 28 goals and 38 assists, and has been their most consistent offensive weapon.
