Lehigh Falls to Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y.

HAMILTON, N.Y. - Lehigh fell to Colgate, 9-7, on Friday evening. With the loss, the Mountain Hawks drop to 2-4 in Patriot League play and 5-7 overall, remaining in seventh place in the league standings. With the win, the Raiders improved to 4-3 in league play and 5-6 overall.
Finn Morgan and Luke Breslin led the way offensively for the Mountain Hawks. Morgan found the back of the net three times, recording his 10th hat trick of the season. Breslin dished out three assists, marking his fourth game with three or more assists this season.
For Colgate, Casey Quinson scored three times, tying a game-high with Morgan, while Hunter Drouin added two goals.
Kasey Heath made 13 saves, matching Colgate's Andrew Lehrman, who also saved 13 shots.
The Raiders controlled the faceoff X, winning 12-of-19 draws.
Colgate controlled the first half, holding the Mountain Hawks scoreless in the opening quarter and building a 3-0 lead after one period. After the Raiders added another to make it 4-0 before Peter Theodoropoulos put Lehigh on the board with 10 minutes remaining in the half. Morgan found the back of the net on an assist from Luke McAuliffe midway through the period to cut the deficit to 4-2. Colgate responded with the final two goals of the half to take a 6-2 lead into the locker room.
Lehigh scored four of the first five goals of the third period to cut the deficit to 7-6 with five minutes remaining. Hunter Polonkey and Luke Winkler each scored once, while Morgan added two goals during the run.
