Four All-Time Top 10 Marks Highlights Women's Performance At Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The second full squad weekend of the outdoor season sent the Mountain Hawks to the Monmouth Season Opener Friday-Saturday at Kessler Stadium. Lehigh's women delivered more than 20 PR marks and had four all-time top 10 additions.

THROWS
Action got underway Friday with the hammer throw and discus events. Junior Grace Aggen led Lehigh in the discus with a throw of 44.49m to finish eighth. Sophomore Avery Dowkus led Lehigh in the hammer throw, with a toss of 41.03m to finish 12th.

Aggen came back Saturday with a ninth place finish in the shot put with an effort of 13.63m to move into fifth place all-time at Lehigh. First-year Meghan Miller finished fifth in the javelin with a throw of 41.00m.

JUMPS
Junior Grace Nation had a strong day Saturday with PRs in both the long jump and triple jump. Nation finished fifth in the triple jump with an effort of 11.51m to move into ninth place all-time. She leapt 5.55m in the long jump to finish sixth. Senior Lillian Mauger led Lehigh in the long jump with a mark of 5.59m to finish fourth.

Five Mountain Hawks competed in the high jump, led by PRs from first-year Anna Troutman and senior Izabel Fronc, who both cleared 1.65m. Troutman finished fourth while Fronc posted a sixth-place finish.

Senior Rory Stein posted a PR in the pole vault, clearing 3.21m to finish 10th.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
First-year Jade Sanders had a big day, leading Lehigh in both the 200m and 400m races on Saturday. Sanders ran a 57.07 in the 400m to finish third and move into fifth place all-time. She also led seven Lehigh runners in the 200m, finishing 11th with a PR of 25.52. Sophomore Kasey White finished fourth overall in the 400m with a PR of 58.22.

In the 400m hurdles, junior Grace Kennedy won the event with a time of 1:01.41, which ranks in the top 100 of Division I so far this season. First-year Lanae Carrington finished second with a time of 1:03.31, which is good for eighth all-time at Lehigh.

Junior Gianna Mangili led Lehigh in the 100m with a time of 12.40m while Troutman ran a 15.67 in the 100m hurdles.

MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE
Junior Abby Klebe posted a runner-up finish in the 1500m with a time of 4:28.82. Sophomore Grace Hughes was Lehigh's No. 2 finisher in both the 800m and the 1500m, setting PRs in both events. Hughes ran a 2:18.08 in the 800 and 4:41.51 in the 1500. Sophomore Hope Trimmer led Lehigh in the 800, finishing 11th with a PR of 2:18.01.

Sophomore Siri Hellenbrand led Lehigh runners in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing sixth with a PR of 12:01.63.

RELAYS
The 4x100 relay featuring senior Stephanie Webb, Mauger, White and Mangili finished third with a time of 48.53. Lehigh had three teams compete in the 4x400 relay with Carrington, sophomore Mila Jovanovic, Kennedy and White leading the way with a third place finish in 3:51.34.

Next up, the Mountain Hawks will travel to Easton, Pa. for the annual outdoor dual meet against Lafayette on Saturday April 5.
