Lehigh Rolls to 128-75 Win in Annual Outdoor Rivalry Dual Meet

EASTON, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field team delivered a dominant performance Saturday in the annual outdoor rivalry dual meet at Lafayette. The Mountain Hawks won 16 of 19 events, had six ECAC qualifying marks and posted five all-time top 10 additions in a 128-75 victory over the Leopards.

Lehigh has now won eight consecutive dual meets on the women's side with the Mountain Hawks combining to go 6-0 against Lafayette covering cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field for the fourth consecutive season.

THROWS
Junior Grace Aggen won both the discus and the shot put, securing ECAC qualifying marks in both events. Aggen threw 14.06m in the shot put to move into fourth place all-time at Lehigh and posted a mark of 44.66m to take the discus.

Sophomore Avery Dowkus was second to Aggen in the shot put with a throw of 12.01m and led Lehigh in the hammer throw, finishing second with a PR of 47.50m.

First-year Emily Kolodziej finished second to Aggen in the discus with a PR effort of 42.07m.

First-year Meghan Miller won the javelin and moved into ninth place all-time with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 42.44m.

JUMPS
Lehigh secured the top three spots in the long jump, triple jump and high jump. Senior Lillian Mauger won the long jump (5.68m) and the triple jump (11.31m). Junior Grace Nation was second in the triple jump (11.14m) and third in the long jump (5.24m). Senior Keisha Modi was second in the long jump (5.37m), while senior Lauren Roy took third in the triple jump (10.71m).

Senior Isabel Fronc cleared 1.61m to win the high jump, with first-year Anna Troutman and junior Melanie LaCorte tying for second at 1.51m.

In the pole vault, junior Laura Reigle won with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 3.92m. Junior Sarah Goode moved into ninth place all-time at Lehigh clearing 3.45m.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
Junior Grace Kennedy led a 1-2-3 sweep of the 400m with a 56.07 to move into third place all-time at Lehigh, and also won the 200m in 25.95. First-year Jade Sanders finished second in both events, running 57.15 in the 400 and 26.51 in the 200. Sophomore Kasey White was third in the 400m (59.37).

Junior Gianna Mangili won the 100m in 12.91 and finished fourth in the 200m (27.00).

In the 400m hurdles, first-year Lanae Carrington took first place with a time of 1:04.71. Sophomore Mila Jovanovic (1:12.59) finished third. Sophomore Emma Sanford led Lehigh in the 100m hurdles, finishing third with a PR of 15.93.

MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE
Senior Savanah Beavers won the 5000m and moved into sixth place all-time with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 17.08.48. First-year Kaitlyn Highduch just missed the Lehigh top 10 list finishing third with her time of 17:25.91.

In the 3000m steeplechase, senior Madison Hayes won with a time of 11:11.60, while first-year Kaya Meler (11:36.66) and sophomore Siri Hellenbrand (11:42.67) set PRs.

Junior Abby Klebe won the 800m with an ECAC-qualifying time of 2:08.65, with first-year Lauren Bower finishing third (2:16.86) and junior Amber Barrios (2:18.38) posting a PR.

Senior Lauryn Heskin won the 1500m with a time of 4:38.96. Sophomore Hope Trimmer posted a PR of 4:44.90 to finish second, while senior Riley Morrell (4:48.45) took third.

RELAYS
The 4x400m relay team (Carrington, Svea Wickelgren, Lauren Bower, Stephanie Webb)Â closed out the meet with a win in 4:07.10. Lehigh finished second in the 4x100m relay (Webb, Mauger, White, Mangili)Â with a time of 48.80.
