
Two School Records Highlight Three Meet Weekend For Lehigh Women

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Two school records fell Saturday at the Bison Outdoor Classic as part of a three-meet weekend for the women's track and field team. Junior Abby Klebe broke her own school record in the 800m and junior Grace Aggen broke a three-year-old mark in the shot put, highlighting the three-meet weekend where the Mountain Hawk women picked up four event wins and totaled eight all-time top-10 marks while competing at Bucknell, TCNJ and Susquehanna.

BISON OUTDOOR CLASSIC
Throws
Aggen threw the shot put 14.26m, surpassing the mark of 14.12m set by Teasha McKoy in 2022. She finished fifth in the event and added an 11th place finish in the discus (41.85m).

First-year Meghan Miller finished fifth in the javelin, with a throw of 43.47m to move into sixth place all-time.

Sophomore Avery Dowkus finished 24th in the hammer throw (45.54m) and posted a mark of 11.71m in the shot put.

Mid-Distance/Distance
Klebe won two events Saturday, highlighted by her time of 2:05.22, which was more than 1.4 seconds faster than her previous mark. Junior Amber Barrios (2:11.71) and senior Svea Wickelgren (2:11.87) also ran PR times in the 800m.

The second win for Klebe came in the invitational 1500m, where her time of 4:24.84 improved up on her second all-time mark at Lehigh.

The open 1500m saw senior Riley Morrell run a 4:46.40 and first-year Kaya Meler post a PR of 4:47.70.

Saturday night's action concluded with a pair of all-time top-10 additions in distance events. First-year Kaitlyn Highduch ran 17:16.70 in the 5000m to move into eighth place all-time. Senior Savanah Beavers then moved into third all-time in the 10,000m with a time of 35:50.98.

Sunday's distance action saw first-year Izzy Owens lead four Mountain Hawks in the mile with a time of 5:21.56. First-year Brenna Dahlgren closed the meet by finishing fifth in the 3000m with a time of 10:38.60.

Sprints/Hurdles
Junior Grace Kennedy won the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:01.20 to lead four Mountain Hawks in the event. First-year Lanae Carrington finished 14th with a time of 1:03.66.

In the 100 hurdles, senior Shelby Dejana ran a 14.73 to move into ninth place all-time at Lehigh.

First-year Jade Sanders improved on her sixth all-time mark in the 400m, running 56.82 to finish in seventh place. Junior Gianna Mangili led Lehigh in the 100m, running a 12.31 and posting a 25.70 in the 200m. Sophomore Kasey White (25.67) led Lehigh in the 200m. White also ran 59.21 in the 400m.

Jumps
Junior Laura Reigle cleared 3.71m in the pole vault to tie for second place. In the invitational high jump, senior Izabel Fronc and sophomore Gaea DePass both cleared 1.58m with DePass setting a new outdoor PR. Junior Melanie LaCorte cleared 1.53m to tie for 12th in the open high jump.

TCNJ INVITE AND MULTI
On Saturday, first-year Emily Kolodziej picked up a victory in the discus with a throw of 39.88m. She also led Lehigh in the shot put, finishing sixth with a throw of 10.95m. First-year Maddie Hussey finished seventh in the shot put (10.60m), while classmate Aly Marmor also competed in the discus (31.08m) and shot put (10.11m).

Senior Lillian Mauger won the long jump with an effort of 5.48m. Junior Lena Perlmutter and senior Rory Stein both cleared 3.20m to finish second and third, respectively in the pole vault.

On Friday, three Mountain Hawks competed in the hammer throw, led by first-year Olivia Dubrow finishing eighth with a PR of 38.02. Junior Jennifer Whipple finished ninth (37.40m) while Hussey took 11th (36.54m).

The meet kicked off Thursday with first-year Peyton Lewis taking third in the javelin with a throw of 33.21m.

RIVER HAWK MULTI AND INVITE
Sophomore Emma Sanford and first-year Anna Troutman competed in the Maroon Heptathlon. Troutman finished fifth overall with 5177 points. She posted PRs in the 100H (15.61) and the high jump (1.69m). Sanford recorded PRs in the 100H (15.79) and the shot put (11.10m) but did not compete in the final event, the 800m.

Another multi-meet weekend awaits the Mountain Hawks next weekend with the squad split between the Virginia Challenge and Moravian's Coach Pollard Invitational.
