Brewer, Heidemann, Reigle Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes, Lehigh Earns Team Award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's and women's track and field have been recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Academic Teams. In addition, two women's track & field and one men's track & field athlete were honored by the USTFCCCA as All-Academic Athletes.
Teams earn All-Academic status by having a combined 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or higher for the entire academic year. The women posted a 3.62 GPA while the men had a 3.38 GPA.
In order to earn All-Academic status, an athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.25 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and meet certain athletic requirements as well. The Mountain Hawks were represented by seniors Alex Heidemann, Corinn Brewer, and Laura Reigle.
Brewer led the way with a perfect 4.0 semester while majoring in architecture throughout her final year in Bethlehem. Reigle posted a 3.85 GPA in design while Heidemann registered a 3.56 GPA in mechanical engineering. Brewer was an indoor Patriot League champion in the Pentathlon, Reigle won Patriot League gold in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault, and Heidemann was a bronze medalist in the 800m at the indoor Patriot League championships.
