Mauger Reaches Second All-Time In Long Jump At Keystone Challenge

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Lehigh women's track and field competed at the Keystone Challenge at Shippensburg University on Saturday. Seven wins and a second all-time finished highlighted the day for the women.
JUMPS
First-year Anna Troutman finished in third-place in the high jump, reaching 1.60m. She was followed by junior Melanie LaCorte (8th, 1.50m) and first-year Peyton Lewis (10th, 1.40m).
In the pole vault, junior Laura Reigle took second at 3.40m. Junior Sarah Goode recorded a new PR of 3.25m to claim fifth while junior Lena Perlmutter took sixth at 3.10m.
Senior Lillian Mauger made history in the long jump, becoming second all-time in Lehigh's record book with a 5.99m leap to take first place. Junior Grace Nation also finished in the top five with a 5.42m third-place finish.
Mauger also put her name in the record book in the triple jump, reaching eighth all-time at 11.56m to claim third. Nation (5th, 11.40m) and senior Lauren Roy (9th, 10.87m) also competed in the triple jump for Lehigh.
MID-DISTANCE
Senior Lauryn Heskin claimed victory in the 800m, finishing first with a time of 2:17.64. She was followed by sophomore Hope Trimmer (3rd, 2:22.77), sophomore Elizabeth Jenulis (4th, 2:23.92) and senior Athiel Mading (24th, 2:40.29).
In the 1500m, senior Riley Morrell led the way with an eighth-place finish at 4:52.54. Finishing behind Morrell was first-year Kaya Meler (17th, 5:02.35), first-year Elizabeth Ehrhardt (18th, 5:03.41), sophomore Siri Hellenbrand (22nd, 5:05.96) and first-year Isabel Owens (27th, 5:12.48).
Sophomore Grace Hughes recorded a new PR in the 5k race, finishing second at 18:07.58. She was followed by first-year Kaitlyn Highduch (3rd, 18:08.35), first-year Brenna Dahlgren (5th, 18:40.22) and first-year Chloe Browne (7th, 19:18.50).
Senior Savanah Beavers was victorious in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing first at 11:04.22.
The team of senior Stephanie Webb, Mauger, senior Shelby Dejana and junior Gianna Mangili ran unopposed in the 4x100m, finishing in 48.62.
The team of sophomore Mila Jovanovic, first-year Adelaide Videon-Perino, junior Grace Kennedy and first-year Lanae Carrington won the 4x400m race in 4:04.55. Junior Amber Barrios, Hughes, Trimmer and Morrell took fourth at 4:12.91.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
Kennedy led the Mountain Hawks in the 100m, finishing second at 12.47. She was followed by Mauger (3rd, 12.55), Webb (7th, 12.98), sophomore Kasey White (9th, 13.13), senior Keisha Modi (12th, 13.42m) and sophomore Iciar Gorospe Valenzuela (15th, 14.92).
Kennedy won the 200m for Lehigh, claiming first place in 25.71. First-year Jade Sanders (4th, 26.21), White (6th, 26.63) and Gorospe Valenzuela (13th, 30.81) also competed in the 200m.
Sanders finished third in the 400m at 58.50 while Mangili finished in tenth at 1:03.90.
In the 100m hurdles, sophomore Emma Sanford finished third at 15.94.
Carrington finished second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.20, followed by Jovanovic (3rd, 1:05.93), Barrios (5th, 1:08.51) and Videon-Perino (6th, 1:09.18).
THROWS
Five Mountain Hawks competed in the shot put, led by junior Grace Aggen with a 12.08m toss to take second. She was followed by sophomore Avery Dowkus (3rd, 12.06m), first-year Emily Kolodziej (6th, 11.44m), first-year Madeline Hussey (12th, 10.53m) and Sanford (13th, 10.36m).
Aggen was victorious in the discus throw, claiming first with a 42.87m throw. Kolodziej took second at 40.67m followed by first-year Olivia Dubrow (7th, 38.31m) and Alyson Marmor (12th, 33.94).
Dowkus led the Mountain Hawks in the hammer throw with a sixth-place finish at 44.21m. Dubrow took 13th at 37.18m while Hussey finished 14th at 36.08m.
In the javelin throw, first-year Meghan Miller recorded a new PR of 40.50m to take second. She was followed by Lewis (12th, 32.36m) and Troutman (16th, 24.34).

The Mountain Hawks return to action on March 28-29 at the Monmouth Season Opener in West Long Branch, N.J.
