Six Mountain Hawk Wins, Two Top Tens For Women At Bucknell Tune Up

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Lehigh women's track and field competed at the Bucknell Tune Up on Friday one week before the Patriot League Championships next weekend at Navy. Six wins, a slew of PRs and two top ten finishes highlighted the day for the women.
JUMPS
Junior Laura Reigle took home first place in the pole vault with a jump of 3.82m. Junior Sarah Goode made her way into the record books, as her new PR of 3.52m was good enough for third place and sixth on the top ten list. Junior Lena Perlmutter rounded out the Lehigh contingent with an eighth-place finish at 3.22m.
Lehigh's lone participant in the triple jump was senior Lauren Roy, who claimed seventh with a jump of 10.47m.
First-year Anna Troutman won the high jump for Lehigh with a 1.62m first-place finish. She was followed by junior Melanie LaCorte (1.57m, 4th) and first-year Corinn Brewer (1.47m, 8th).
Senior Lillian Mauger picked up a win in the long jump with a leap of 5.63m. She was followed by senior Keisha Modi (5.42m, 3rd), junior Grace Nation (PR 5.25m, 6th) and Roy (5.01m, 11th).

MID-DISTANCE
First-year Sadie Millett led the way for Lehigh in the one-mile race, clocking in at 5:23.03 to claim ninth. She was followed by sophomore Elizabeth Jenulis (5:23.26, 10th) and first-year Jacqueline Gifford (5:30.05, 15th).
First-year Lauren Bower took second in the 800m with a finish of 2:18.56. Senior Riley Morrell took fourth at 2:19.85 while first-year Isabel Owens finished in sixth at 2:22.32.
Junior Dakota Russell (10:35.26, 2nd), first-year Brenna Dahlgren (PR 10:41.37, 3rd) and first-year Kaya Meler (10:44.81, 5th) all finished in the top five in the 3k race.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
Senior Shelby Dejana, sophomore Emma Sanford and Brewer competed in the 60m hurdles prelims for Lehigh, with Dejana and Sanford advancing to the finals. Dejana won the event, setting a new PR of 8.93 to claim fist place. Sanford finished in seventh at 9.35 in her first time running the event.
Senior Svea Wickelgren came away victorious in the 400m, setting a new PR of 57.04 to claim first. Her finish puts her in third all-time on the top ten list for the event in school history. Lehigh rounded out the top three with first-year Jade Sanders (PR 58.31, 2nd) and junior Amber Barrios (1:00.30, 3rd). Senior Stephanie Webb (1:01.99, 6th) and sophomore Iciar Gorospe Valenzuela (1:07.86, 10th) rounded out the event for the Mountain Hawks.
Webb finished in second-place in the 200m, clocking in at 26.68. Gorospe Valenzuela followed with a 16th place finish at 29.66.
THROWS
Seven Mountain Hawks competed in the shot put, led by junior Grace Aggen with a 13.92m toss to finish in first place. She was followed by sophomore Avery Dowkus (12.87m, 4th), first-year Emily Kolodziej (12.58m, 6th), first-year Madeline Hussey (11.42m, 11th), Sanford (PR 10.91m, 16th), first-year Olivia Dubrow (10.71m, 17th) and first-year Peyton Lewis (PR 9.84m, 24th).
Dowkus and Dubrow set new PRs in the weight throw, hitting marks of 15.73m and 14.43m to take sixth and eighth respectively. Junior Jennifer Whipple (13.56m, 11th) and Hussey (11.00m, 28th) also competed in the weight throw for Lehigh.

The Mountain Hawks will compete at the Patriot League Championships on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
