DJ Brown Named To CSC Academic All-District Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore safety DJ Brown has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced Tuesday. Brown was one of two Mountain Hawks to garner Academic All-Patriot League distinction back in November.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and meet certain competitive benchmarks for games played or games started. Student-athletes who meet this criteria and have significant on-field accomplishments will move on to the Academic All-America ballot. First-year student-athletes are not eligible for Academic All-District or Academic All-America honors.
Brown holds a 3.90 cumulative GPA as a political science major, which ranks second among Lehigh upperclass players. He also made the Fall 2023 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and garnered Dean's List distinction, with semester GPAs over 3.6 in each of his first three semesters on campus.
On the field, the Folsom, Calif., product appeared in all 13 games, featuring on special teams and as part of a safety rotation. Brown finished with 22 tackles, with a high of six in a November win over Colgate, and made his first career interception in Lehigh's win over Fordham on Oct. 26.
The Patriot League champion Mountain Hawks finished the 2024 campaign with a 9-4 record and reached the second round of the FCS playoffs for the first time since 2011.
