Lehigh Celebrates Senior Day And Alumnae Day Versus Holy Cross

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's lacrosse returns to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Saturday to host Holy Cross for Senior Day and Alumnae Day. Opening draw is set for noon with coverage on ESPN+.

Lehigh (7-4, 3-2 PL) is coming off a 14-8 league win over Boston University with graduate student Gabby Schneider and senior Olivia Memeger leading Lehigh with six points apiece in the matchup - both on four goals and two assists. Additionally, graduate student Emma Eberhard had four goals and senior goalkeeper Hayley Hunt had 16 saves and one ground ball.

On Monday, Hunt was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season. Her 16 save performance against Boston University tied her season high dating back to Feb. 16 in the 8-7 win over Jacksonville. Hunt currently leads the Patriot League in save percentage (.532) and saves per game (10.73).

Holy Cross (9-3, 4-1 PL) heads into Saturday coming off a 13-9 loss to then-No. 19 Navy last Saturday, breaking up an eight game winning streak. The Crusaders earned their four league wins over Colgate (15-13), Lafayette (12-11), Bucknell (18-10) and American (15-9). Junior attacker Sally Zinsner leads the Crusaders offensively with 39 goals and 57 points.Â

Lehigh leads the all-time series 23-10, picking up two wins over the Crusaders last season. In the 2023 Patriot League Quarterfinals, the Mountain Hawks earned a 20-8 win over Holy Cross, led by Memeger with five goals and one assist.

The Mountain Hawks will be honoring seniors Olivia Memeger, Amel Vernon, Hayley Hunt, and Emma Fiore along with graduate students Gabby Schneider, Emma Eberhardt and Cassie Marte in a postgame celebration on Saturday.
