
Mountain Hawks Look To Carry Momentum Into Patriot League Opener

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh plays host to American on Saturday in the Mountain Hawks' Patriot League opener at the Ulrich Sports Complex. The women's game kicks off the lacrosse double header with opening draw set for 12 p.m., followed by the men's league-opening matchup with Navy at 3:30 p.m.

Lehigh (3-1) looks to extend its win streak to three following last weekend's 10-8 win over Old Dominion. Graduate student Emma Eberhardt received Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors after compiling seven points off six goals and one assist. Eberhardt leads Lehigh in scoring with 14 goals and eight assists. First-year Grace Martel earned the first league honor of her career after contributing two goals in the win.

The Eagles (4-2, 0-1 PL) head into Saturday on a three-game win streak, most recently picking up wins over George Washington (10-4), UMBC (14-11) and George Mason (11-10). No. 7 Loyola handed American its first league loss with a 15-5 decision on February 17.Â

The Mountain Hawks lead the all-time series 13-11, picking up a 16-11 win over the Eagles last season. Graduate student Gabby Schneider netted five goals, leading Lehigh to the victory. Lehigh currently has a 10-game win streak over American, dating back to 2014.
