Lehigh Heads To Orlando For Spring Break Competition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After taking a week off from competition, Lehigh men's tennis will play two neutral site matches as part of their spring break in Orlando, Florida. The Mountain Hawks will first match up with the IUPUI Jaguars followed by a tilt with the Emporia State Hornets later in the week.
Lehigh (5-5) enters their spring break week as winners of their last two duals. The Mountain Hawks picked up a 4-1 home victory over Morgan State on March 1 followed by a 5-2 win on the road against Marist the next day. Sophomore Aristotelis Bezianis was honored by the Patriot League for his efforts, being named Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Bezianis went a perfect 4-0 across two doubles and two singles matches en route to the weekly honor.
IUPUI (4-9) enters the week having lost six of their last seven duals, not including a matchup against Lipscomb that was taking place at the time of this publication. The Jaguars earned a 4-0 win over Lindenwood on February 17 but fell 7-0 to Louisville and 4-3 to Eastern Kentucky in their last two duals.
Emporia State (4-3), a Division-II school out of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, will have a rather busy schedule leading up to their meeting with the Mountain Hawks. The Hornets will face William Jewel, West Chester and Lubbock Christian before taking on Lehigh next week. ESU picked up a conference win over Augustana followed by a win over Western New Mexico before falling to Southern Arkansas in their last time out.
The Mountain Hawks will first IUPUI on Monday, March 11 and then Emporia State on Thursday, March 14. Start times for both matches are still TBA.
