
Lehigh Hosts No. 8 Loyola on Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's lacrosse program plays host to No. 8 Loyola on Saturday at the Ulrich Sports Complex.Â

The Mountain Hawks are 5-2 this season and 1-0 in league play.

Senior goalkeeper Hayley Hunt was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week after her performances against Penn State and Georgetown. In Lehigh's win over Georgetown, Hunt had 15 saves, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Against Penn State, Hunt compiled 11 saves, two ground balls and one caused turnover.Â

Senior attacker Olivia Memeger and first-year defender Brynn Freeman were named honorable mentions following last week's competitions. Memeger netted four goals off 4-for-4 shooting and dished out one assist in the victory over the Hoyas. Freeman had a solid performance against the Nittany Lions, holding one of their All-Americans to only one goal on Tuesday.

Loyola sits atop the Patriot League standings with a 3-0 league record and an undefeated 8-0 overall record. The Greyhounds are led offensively by Chase Boyle (35 goals, 8 assists), Sydni Black (30 goals, 12 assists) and Georgia Latch (27 goals, 18 assists). This week, Boyle was named Patriot League midfielder of the week for the fourth time this season, and third consecutive week.Â

The Mountain Hawks are 5-17 against Loyola, most recently falling to the Greyhounds 19-3 in the Patriot League Semifinals last season.
