
Mountain Hawks Close out Home Stand Saturday, Travel to Binghamton on Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's tennis can match its win total from last season as the Mountain Hawks come into Saturday's match with a 5-1 record after going 6-11 last season.Â
Lehigh will have two opportunities to do so as the Mountain Hawks will close out their six-match home stand on Saturday at 4 p.m. against Johns Hopkins and will hit the road on Sunday, taking on Binghamton at 2 p.m.Â
The Mountain Hawks are on a four-match winning streak, having defeated Saint Joseph's and Hofstra last week by identical 5-2 scores.
Senior Anushka Dania was named the Patriot League Player of the Week for the first time of her career on Feb. 13. Dania won all four of her matches last week and clinched the win over Hofstra at the No. 5 singles spot.
The duo partners of Audrey Harrington and Hamsa Javagal improved to 6-0 in doubles play last week. In addition to Harrington and Javgal winning both of their doubles matches last weekend, so did Anushka and Megha Dania.Â
First-year Maggie Forkner posts a 4-2 singles record so far this season at the No.2 spot. Forkner won both of her singles matches last weekend.
After two matches this weekend, the Mountain Hawks return home to the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Feb. 24 to face Seton Hall.Â
