BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's lacrosse welcomes Boston University to the Ulrich Sports Complex Saturday for a 6 p.m. game against the Terriers.

Lehigh will also honor its senior class after the conclusion of the contest. The Mountain Hawks have a total of eight seniors: two graduate students and six fourth-year seniors.

Lehigh is 8-5 (3-3 PL), and Boston University is 7-7 (2-4). With just three games remaining in the Patriot League season, this is an important game in the standings.

The Mountain Hawks are in fourth place, and the Terriers are in sixth place, but the two schools are only separated by one game.

Senior Gabby Schneider had 12 points last week for Lehigh, scoring five goals and one assist in both of Lehigh's two games. She recorded her 100th career point against No. 22 Penn on April 4. After her strong performances, Schneider was named the Patriot League Attacker of the Week, which was also the first honor of her career.

While Schneider led the way for Lehigh in the 16-11 win over American on Saturday, four different Mountain Hawks recorded hat tricks. Katia Carnevale, Emma Eberhardt and Olivia Memeger were the other three Lehigh players to score at least three goals against the Eagles.

Senior midfielder Cassie Marte is 14 draw controls away from tying Lehigh's single-season record. Kayleen Kelly set the record in 2018. She won 86 draw controls and Marte has won 72 so far. Marte won eight draw controls in the 16-11 win over American on Saturday. She ranks fourth in the league in draw controls per game (5.54).

Marte also is fourth in the league in caused turnovers per game (1.54)

Junior goalkeeper Hayley Hunt ranks second in the league in saves per game (8.77). She had a total of 24 saves last week for Lehigh.

Before falling to Boston College 19-8 on Tuesday, the Terriers upset No. 20 Navy 12-11 last Saturday.

Jennifer Barry leads the way for the Terriers. She's scored 37 points this season (21 G, 16A).  Barry also is second in the league in draw controls. She's averaging 8.14 draw controls per game.

Lehigh is 5-5 all-time against Boston University. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Terriers last season 13-12 in Boston. Olivia Memeger scored the game-winning goal.

Saturday's game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Following Saturday's game, Lehigh will head to Worcester, Massachusetts, to take on Holy Cross on April 22 in a 1 p.m. game with the Crusaders.
