BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Five home games capped by the 159th meeting of college football's most-played rivalry highlight the 2023 Lehigh football schedule, formally announced Wednesday. The Mountain Hawks, under the direction of first-year head coach Kevin Cahill, will make five appearances at Goodman Stadium, beginning Labor Day weekend and culminating in November with the Lehigh-Lafayette game.
Season ticket renewals and new season ticket sales for the 2023 campaign will begin on Wednesday, March 8. Purchasing season tickets continues to be the best way to guarantee tickets to the annual Lehigh-Lafayette game, which this year is set for Nov. 18 at Goodman Stadium.
Flex Plans for the 2023 season will go on sale on May 3, while single game tickets (including the Lafayette game) go on sale and tailgate registrations begin on July 12.

For the seventh time in eight seasons Lehigh will kick off its campaign at Goodman Stadium. This year, the opponent will be Villanova on Saturday, Sept. 2. The Mountain Hawks and Wildcats will square off for the seventh time in eight seasons and it will mark the fourth time during that span that Lehigh and Villanova will meet in the season-opener.
The first road game for the Mountain Hawks features the first of two September trips to New England as Lehigh visits Merrimack on Sept. 9. It will be the first-ever trip to North Andover, Mass., for the Brown and White, who defeated the Warriors 10-3 in the inaugural meeting in 2019.
The Merrimack trip will be followed by back-to-back games against Ivy League opponents. Lehigh returns to Goodman Stadium to face Cornell on Sept. 16 as the Big Red visit Bethlehem for the first time since 2008. The Mountain Hawks will then visit Dartmouth on Sept. 23 in the first meeting between the two programs since 1999.
The final non-league game of the slate is Sept. 30 when Lehigh travels to West Long Branch, N.J. to face Monmouth.
Patriot League play begins on the road on Oct. 7 as the Mountain Hawks close out a three-game road trip with a visit to Fordham.
Lehigh will return to Goodman Stadium Oct. 14 to host Georgetown in the Patriot League home opener and the Mountain Hawks will alternate home and away games for the remainder of the season.
A trip to Bucknell on Oct. 21 will be followed by a bye the weekend of Oct. 28. Coming out of the bye, Lehigh will host four-time defending league champion Holy Cross on Nov. 4 and then will visit Colgate on Nov. 11 before closing out the regular season with the 159th meeting of college football's most played rivalry at Goodman Stadium, Nov. 18 versus Lafayette.
Promotional information for Lehigh's five home games will be announced at a later date.
Cahill and his staff inherit a Lehigh team that returns three of its four captains from a season ago, plus Patriot League Rookie of the Year Geoffrey Jamiel, and previous All-Patriot League honorees Mike DeNucci and LaTreil Wimberly.
The Mountain Hawks will open their spring practice segment on Thursday, March 23.
