Mountain Hawks Take on Stony Brook in Second Match of the Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off of their season-opening win against Marist, the Lehigh women's tennis team will host Stony Brook at the Lewis Tennis Center on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off of a thrilling 4-3 win against the Red Foxes. Junior Junmoke James and first-year Hamsa Javagal won the first doubles match for Lehigh, finishing 6-3.

In singles play, Javagal and sophomores Megha Dania, Anushka Dania and Leighanna Moskos all grabbed wins for the Mountain Hawks.

With Lehigh and Marist tied at 3-3, Moskos had the fate of the match on her shoulders. The sophomore rallied from a set down to defeat Lea Lambert at the No. 5 spot (3-6, 6-2, 6-3).

The Mountain Hawks are searching for their fifth program win against Stony Brook on Saturday. Lehigh battled Stony Brook in 2020 where they were able to grab a 4-3 win over the Seawolves.
