Elliott earns Academic All-Patriot League selection

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Zack Elliott of the Lehigh men's tennis team was named an Academic All-Patriot League selection on Thursday afternoon, as announced by the league office. The honor comes one week after the junior was awarded First Team All-Patriot League for the first time in his career.
Elliott joins six other student-athletes from the Patriot League on this distinguished list. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. The team is voted on by sports information directors around the Patriot League.
The men's tennis captain earned a 3.61 cumulative with his major being computer science and business. Elliott is also a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, while also being named to the Dean's List three times throughout his academic career at Lehigh.
"Zack has demonstrated a consistent commitment to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said head coach Wouter Hendrix. "He leads by example through his work ethic and time management skills. I'm very proud of how Zack embodies the values of the ultimate scholar-athlete."
The junior captain is coming off a year in which he spearheaded the Mountain Hawks to a spot in the Patriot League semifinals at the No. 1 spot in both singles and doubles. Elliott totaled a 4-4 record in singles and a 5-3 overall mark in doubles.
