Mountain Hawks ranked 16th in US Lacrosse Preseason Top 20

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – US Lacrosse announced its preseason top 20 on Wednesday, which saw the Lehigh men's lacrosse team ranked No. 16. Hopes are high heading into the 2021 season after a promising 2020 campaign was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Mountain Hawks were 5-1 last season, finishing No. 19 in Inside Lacrosse's final poll of 2020 and No. 17 in US Lacrosse's early 2021 rankings.

Lehigh is the third Patriot League team in the rankings, following Loyola (13) and Army West Point (15).

The Mountain Hawks feature a strong core of returning players, which includes returning fifth-year seniors Crew Cintron, Andrew Eichelberger, Conor Gaffney and Christian McHugh, who are all enrolled in graduate school. Eichelberger, along with seniors Teddy Leggett and Matt Douglas, will serve as team captains – as announced last month.
