Mountain Hawks come in at No. 17 in US Lacrosse Magazine’s early 2021 rankings

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With the 2021 season still months away, the Lehigh men's lacrosse program is already getting national attention as the Mountain Hawks came in at No. 17 in US Lacrosse Magazine's early 2021 rankings. Numbers 16 through 20 were unveiled Tuesday, with Lehigh ahead of Richmond (18), Villanova (19) and Princeton (20).

Here's a brief excerpt from the writeup: Lehigh will have a serious shot to do what it may well have last year if given the chance: Narrow (and maybe erase) the gap between it and both Loyola and Army in the Patriot League.

Lehigh was in the midst of an impressive 2020 season, standing 5-1 and 2-0 in league play, following a 15-10 win over Holy Cross on Mar. 7. The Mountain Hawks ended the year with four straight victories, also beating VMI, NJIT and Navy prior to the win over the Crusaders. Lehigh was ranked No. 19 in the final Maverick Media Poll.
