Mountain Hawks drop match to powerhouse Case Western, 6-1

ORLANDO, Fla. – A day after claiming a victory over Bentley University, the Lehigh men's tennis team was topped by NCAA Division ll powerhouse Case Western, 6-1. With the loss, the Mountain Hawks now have a 4-5 record going into tomorrow's showdown with Carnegie Mellon University. Case Western improved its record to 15-1 on the year.
 
Things started off slow for Lehigh, as the Spartans took the doubles point with ease. In two of the three doubles matches, Case Western swept the bouts, 6-0. At the No. 3 spot, Jeremy Learner and Stevemn Nazaroff claimed the victory, 6-0
 
Trailing 1-0 going into singles, Lehigh only managed to win one singles match out of the possible six. The lone win came at the No. 2 spot, as Harry Wang defeated Matthew Chen of Case Western, 1-6, 6-3, 10-7.
 
Fishkin and Zack Elliott each won a set against their opponent, however were unable to hold on for a win. Elliott in the No. 1 spot lost, 7-6, 3-6, 8-10, while Fishkin was topped 5-7, 6-3, 3-10.
 
Up next, the Mountain Hawks will conclude their spring break trip with a match against Carnegie Mellon tomorrow morning.
