BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh football program has finalized its incoming class for the fall of 2019. The Mountain Hawks will be bringing 31 first-year student-athletes to fall camp. Lehigh originally announced a class of 12 during the December 2018 early signing period then, coach Tom Gilmore and his staff announced eight additions on the early February signing day. Since that announcement, Lehigh has added 11 more newcomers, bring the incoming total to 31.
The 31 members of Lehigh's football class of 2023 hail from 13 different states. Pennsylvania and Georgia lead the way with six newcomers, followed by New Jersey with five and North Carolina with three. Lehigh has brought in two student-athletes from both Connecticut and Illinois, and California, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Texas are all represented with one.
Position-wise, the incoming class is balanced with 15 projected on offense, 15 on defense and one kicker/punter. The secondary is the position group with the most incoming student-athletes as Lehigh has seven newcomers projected there. The Mountain Hawks have brought in four newcomers at four different positions: wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line and linebacker.
Information on the 11 newcomers added after the February announcement are listed below, with the complete list of incoming first-year student-athletes at the bottom of this page.
