BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Owning its longest winning streak since 2013 at five games, the No. 15 Lehigh men's lacrosse team returns home on Saturday for a tough test against Boston University. Opening faceoff is set for 2 p.m. on the Patriot League Network and Stadium's Over-The-Air national stations. The Mountain Hawks have been road warriors, playing five of their last seven games away from home, but beginning Saturday, Lehigh will play four-of-five at home. Most recently, the Mountain Hawks scored 11 of the game's final 13 goals to pull away from Navy, 15-8. That came one game after a 15-7 home victory over Lafayette.

Lehigh's five-game winning streak is tied for the fourth longest active streak in the nation. It's the program's longest since seven straight victories in 2013. On Saturday, the Mountain Hawks took a 3-1 lead after a quarter of play, but scored just one of the next six goals to fall behind 6-4. That's when Lehigh struck with six straight goals, 10 of the next 11 and 11 of the final 13 to cruise to the 15-8 win, the program's largest-ever road win at Navy (seven goals) and second largest margin of victory against the Mids in program history (home or road).

Lehigh is now 7-4 against Navy since 2011. Prior to that point, the program was 1-29 in its first 30 all-time meetings. Senior Lucas Spence helped lead the offense this time out, posting six points via four goals and two assists. Five of the points came after halftime. He has now tallied four or more points in all five games since returning to the lineup from injury, recording 25 points (15 goals, 10 assists) in that span. Senior Tristan Rai had two goals and two assists while classmates Mickey Fitzpatrick and Alexander Tumminello each scored twice. Freshman Tommy Schelling had a career-high three points (two goals, one assist), including a fastbreak, game-tying goal at 7:00 of the third quarter. Junior Ryan Klose had a goal and assist for his first-career multi-point game. Junior Crew Cintron tallied a goal and assist as well. The Mountain Hawks were 2-of-2 on the extra man and after a tough start to the season man-up, are now 5-of-7 over the last two games after beginning the season 5-of-24.

Sophomore Matt Douglas had a breakout game defensively, collecting a career-high eight groundballs, double his previous career high of four. Senior Craig Chick recorded three groundballs (to reach 199 in his career) and a caused turnover. Junior Conor Gaffney won 17-of-26 faceoffs with nine groundballs while also scoring his first-career goal in the game's final minute.

Sophomore James Spence made 17 saves to tie a career high, set 11 days prior at Rutgers. He won Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this month, and has now stopped 62-of-101 shots sent his way (61.4 percent) over Lehigh's last five games, all victories. On Saturday, the Mountain Hawks will be vying for their first undefeated month since February of 2014 (4-0). It would be Lehigh's first undefeated month of six or more games since 2012 (when it was 7-0 in March). That was also the las time the Mountain Hawks were undefeated in the month of March.

Lehigh is now among the national leaders in numerous categories, including first in groundballs per game (40.89), third in faceoff percentage (68.1), fifth in scoring defense (8.67) and ninth in man-down defense (78.1). The Mountain Hawks are in first place in the league standings at 4-0, with Loyola right behind at 3-0. Boston University is one of just two other teams with one or fewer losses (Army West Point being the other).

With a win on Saturday and losses by Holy Cross (vs. Navy) and Bucknell (vs. Army West Point), the Mountain Hawks would clinch their ninth straight Patriot League Tournament berth. Lehigh is the only team to have qualified for each of the last eight tournaments.

Boston University is 7-3 on the season, with its only losses coming at Ohio State (17-10), at Colgate (9-7) and home vs. Harvard (12-11 in triple overtime). The Terriers are 2-1 in the league, falling at Colgate before coming back to beat Bucknell and Lafayette. One of the nation's top offensive players, Chris Gray has 65 points through 10 games (26 goals, 39 assists). James Burr is second with 38 points (team-leading 29 goals, nine assists) and Brendan Homire owns 29 (15 goals, 14 assists). Sean Christmas has been strong facing off, winning 62.2 percent of his draws (117-of-188) with 76 groundballs. Reece Eddy and Chase Levesque are tied for the team lead in caused turnovers (16). Joe McSorley has started all 10 games in goal, owning a 9.48 goals against average and 54.8 save percentage.

Lehigh is 5-1 all-time against Boston University, with none of the wins coming by more than four goals. The Mountain Hawks won in 2014 (10-7), 2015 (10-8), 2016 (8-7) and 2017 (10-6). The Terriers won 10-4 in the 2017 Patriot League Quarterfinals, and Lehigh responded last season with a thrilling 7-6 win at Boston University as Fitzpatrick scored the game-winning goal in the final minute to clinch a Patriot League Tournament berth.

Following Saturday's game, the Mountain Hawks head to No. 6 Loyola for a big matchup against the Greyhounds. Gametime is set for 11 a.m. on CBS Sports Network.
