Morgan Wins PL Offensive POTW and PL ROTW; Checo Earns PL Defensive POTW

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - First-year Finn Morgan and senior Richard Checo each earned Patriot League weekly awards after Lehigh's 19-7 win over Navy, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Morgan earned PL Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season and Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the fifth time. He becomes just the third player in league history to win PL Rookie of the Week at least five times in a single season.
In Lehigh's win over Navy, Morgan led the Mountain Hawks offensively with seven points, tying a career high. He scored four goals and added a career-high three assists to pace Lehigh. Morgan now ranks second in the league in goals per game at 3.15.
Checo earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season, leading Lehigh's defensive effort. He tied a season high with five caused turnovers and added three ground balls.
Checo ranks second nationally with 33 caused turnovers and third in caused turnovers per game at 2.54, a mark that leads the Patriot League.

Lehigh will make the short trip to Easton to face Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. next Friday to conclude the regular season and can clinch a spot in the Patriot League tournament with a victory.
