Multiple Strong Performances for Lehigh Men at Bucknell

RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. ā The Lehigh men's swimming and diving team fell in a competitive Patriot League battle, 156-123, on the road against Bucknell. The Mountain Hawks combined for six individual wins and one relay win on the day, led by Jacob Moyar who totaled three individual victories on the day.
Lehigh began the individual events by capturing the top two spots in the 1000 freestyle as Moyar recorded the winning time of 9:43.41. Nico Lastauskas claimed second place with a mark of 9:47.4.
Moyar also placed first in the 200 butterfly and set the team's new season-best mark with a time of 1:50.91. Justin Kostelnik came in third with a time of 1:54.48.
Lehigh swept the top two spots in the 50 freestyle as Zach Tieke won the event with a time of 21.18 and DanielĀ Brooks placed second with the team's top freshman time of 21.64.
Tieke also led Lehigh to a victory in the 100 freestyle with a time of 46.20 to edge out Justin White who took second with at time of 46.67.
Kostelnik picked up a win of his own with a top time of 51.85 in the 100 butterfly. Jimmy Davey came in second place as he recorded a time of 52.74.
Moyar picked up his third victory of the day and lowered his season-best mark to 1:53.51 in the 200 IM. Lastauskas lowered the top freshman time of the season to 1:58.38 as he placed third.
Lehigh's final win of the day came in the last event as Walker Wilson, Tieke, Jamal Willis and White combined for the winning time of 3:07.30 in the 400 freestyle relay.
White led Lehigh in the 200 freestyle and set a team season-best mark with a time of 1:40.66 to place second.
Dean Shafritz finished as the team's top performer in the 100 backstroke with time of 58.54 to score points in fourth. Shafritz also led the squad in the 200 back as he placed third with a time of 1:55.12.
Tyler Christ led the way for Lehigh in the 100 breaststroke as he placed second with a time of 59.18, just .16 seconds off his season-best pace. The freshman also finished as the team's top performer in the 200 breaststroke as he placed third with a time of 2:12.42.
The Mountain Hawks closeout the regular season when they return home to face Drexel in a non-league dual next Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jacobs Pool.
